In the War of the Ancients, fought in Dressimara many centuries ago, there was a great variety of powerful Massanoa that walked the magic land. Liggimore, a large troll-like creature with scaly skin and a protruding nose, held grand power in his figure, and when the War began, he was a great asset to those opposed to Dressimara. In fact, he became the deciding point in the war until his unplanned death in the midst of the war. At that time, having held such great power, he gifted his abilities to a human known by the name of Rionohan, creating the first of the Ancient magic as Chief Lebac and Mel possess.
The plan was flawed, though. Liggimore had known Rionohan would be strong enough to have his abilities, but he did not plan for a bit of the magic to shift to darkness and create a source of its own. His magic unearthed a great evil that would become the Blindness. Liggimore's power, though good, held a counter as well, one that Rionohan would not be able to control.
In the midst of the war, the barrier between Dressimara and the kingdoms was broken, and many magic beings spilled out into the human world, and at the same time the humans were able to access Dressimara. The Blindness spilled into Metnoa, planting its seeds of evil in the land. The seeds, shaped as eyes, were like parasites. They fed on magic and nearly drained Dressimara completely. Known as Insin, the parasites grew everywhere-and fast.
Rionohan knew he was not powerful enough alone to defeat the growing power, so he went to Zuram-Tty, the queen of Prelare at the time, and together they were able to trap the remaining Insin and stop the spread of the Blindness. Rionohan's efforts overall where later rewarded by the remaining Massanoa, and he was made immortal.

In the War Between Kingdoms just two years ago, Chief Lebac found the ancient statue of Liggimore in Dressimara that was used to ensnare the Insin. Having been a descendant of Rionohan himself, the statue was accidentally unlocked with Lebac's arrival. The Blindness was released once more.
Now, having com out of hiding for so many years, the Blindness is angrier than ever, and is hungry for magic. It wants revenge, but will need help in order to win this time.
If you choose to join the Blindness, you will need to plant Insin seeds. These can be purchased later in the Store.
